Nathan Katz

Nathan is a two-time Olympian, representing Australia at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games, where he finished in the Top 16.

Nathan has been an ambassador for Lifeline Australia, and currently represents the Black Dog Institute as a Mental Fitness ambassador. He is also in the final stages of completing a Bachelor of Sports Media and Journalism.

Competing on the International World Judo Tour for almost 10 years, Nathan draws on his experience overcoming a variety of mental and physical obstacles, and the highs and lows of his sporting journey on and off the mat.

Now retired and his focus shifted to coaching, Nathan focuses on sharing strategies about building resilience, creating strong daily habits to succeed and developing character at all ages, and the power of the mind to overcome challenges in any facet of life.

Josh Katz

At 18 years of age, Josh was the youngest Australian male to ever compete at the Olympic Games in Judo at the Rio 2016 Games.

Josh is an ambassador for the Black Dog Institute Mental Fitness Program, and completed a double degree in Exercise and Sport Science & Sport Management. In addition, Josh was a mentor for the 2019 Australian Olympic Committee’s Change-Maker Program, and recently competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Beginning his international senior career at the age of 17 years old while still in high school, Josh shares his knowledge on setting ambitious goals from a young age, overcoming a fear of failure, and building self-confidence.

Josh also reflects on the disappointment of missing qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and discusses how to draw strength and bounce back from failure and persevere through challenges to be the best version of yourself.
